There's a lull coming

These are some not so good pics of the loft. I really like the space. There's a lot that we can do with it. I couldn't get a really good pic, so you'll just have to come see it for yourself. :)
I may slow down the posts to this blog. There's going to be a lot of work done inside on wiring, plumbing and finishing up the wall framing. Getting that done is certainly major progress, but doesn't make for either interesting pictures or commentary. I mean, do you really want to see a picture of an outlet box or the pipe to your toilet? Speaking of toilets....If you've ever visited a friend and plugged up their toilet (NOT admitting that has ever happened to me), you'll appreciate my choice in fine American toiletry. You may or may not love our countertops, floors, or other accoutrements, but you should be able to sit with complete confidence on our toilets. I watched one of the home improvement channels late one night. The show included a tour of the American Standard factory. The tour guide touted their new Champion 4 flushing system, claiming it was clog proof. They filled it with fake poo to demonstrate. Yes, someone's job out there is to analyze poo and figure out a way to engineer realistic fake stuff they can use for testing purposes. (unhappy in your work? think about it). They were very proud of the stuff. The guide spent as much time squeezing and fondling the poo while he explained its properties, as he did describing why their toilets won't clog. I don't know if I was more impressed with the poo or the toilet, but our bathrooms will feature the American Standard Champion 4 flushing system. I don't plan to invest in plungers. Call me a risk taker.
The windows and exterior doors are due to arrive on December 4th. After they are installed, the siding begins. The interim will be spent on the electricals, plumbing, stick building the mud room, putting a roof on the garage, and starting the deck. Yes, the Ipe has arrived. There may be some good shots of that construction forthcoming, but I really expect to make fewer posts during this time. I'm incredibly busy at work, which is a genuine Godsend considering the economic news. It's been really hard finding time to visit the site anyway.
I'll post a few shots of the overall structure tomorrow, when I have more time to find the right position on the lot to get a full picture of it. Don't expect much after that though, until the windows arrive.
