Some of you may remember my candid discussion of toilet selection. If not, it may be worth looking for, it's the post that I've heard the most about. The short story is that we've equipped our house with clog proof toilets. State of the art in fine American flushery. This pic is of a product called Hyd-it. It mounts in the wall and is a place to store bathroom accessories. Note that it ships standard with a plunger (a really, really cheap plunger, but a plunger nonetheless). It's an actual affront that Ellen had these installed with the plunger intact, considering the amount of research I did on the subject of toilet clogs. Why, I very nearly stopped on my walk through Home Depot last weekend to help a salesman articulate the benefits of the Champion 4 flushing system to a couple who clearly were immigrants with limited English ability. The man was listening intently, so I can only assume that Mexico as a whole is beset by clogged toilets and the matter was just as dear to him as it was to me. I did not though. I walked on, leaving him to his own karma in the world of flushing reliability. In the dark of night though, these plungers will mysteriously disappear. I'll play my own game of Hide-it. You will not have to go Seek-it. I have every confidence in that.
