The drywall has begun!! Here you can see my office and the hallway to the master bedroom. Money permitting, the area between the top of the office wall and the ceiling will be closed off with custom stained glass panels. We found a local stained glass artist whose costs seem really reasonable, so unless we have unexpected overruns, that's the plan.
Here is my Mom from Illinois, and nephew Pat, who flew in from North Dakota yesterday as a surprise for my mother as she nears her 80th birthday on 1/5. Mom has been visiting us for the last 3 weeks and we heartily enjoyed her stay. It was really great to see her surprise over Pat's visit. She hadn't seen him in more than three years, so it was a treat to be involved in that scheme. Thanks to Ellen for hatching the plot, and to Dell for the frequent flier miles that made it happen. Happy Birthday, Mom and many more.
