A foot more

Photos this week are unremarkable, so this is it. We had a couple of rain days that slowed the progress. Ellen was excited by the sheathing in this shot, but I liked the footings for the deck posts. After considerable internal struggles, we've almost decided to use Ipe for our deck. I say almost, because I have just a little more research to do. We've offset the cost with savings in other areas, so the overall budget is still intact, but that deck is a big swallow for yours truly. When you visit us, you can tramp all over the house as you like, but remove your shoes before you step on the deck. Drinks will be served in sippy cups.:)
