Lofty view

Haven't shown much of the loft in past blogs. It's a difficult space to photograph with the caliber of camera we have, so I've just mentioned it a couple of times. Here's two though, the first looking from the loft down to Ellen's sleeping area and the second from her room up. The balusters haven't been installed in the railing yet, but I think these two give a sense of part of the space. Not to repeat previous posts excessively, but we view this as a large bonus room. It was an afterthought and we really couldn't visualize its size from the plans. We deliberately reduced the size of the master bedroom in order to enlarge the closet and also create a seperate sleeping area for me, which was done with some trepidation. We don't plan to sell this house, but you never know what the future holds. Would reducing the size of the master bedroom reduce the value of the home? It was something I thought about at great length before agreeing to the dimensions we built. With this private loft though, someone could create an amazing master suite, if that was their desire. For us, the loft is a multi-purpose room to house Ellen's office, Wii for our local nieces, and an overflow sleeping area for the children of our guests.
