Your room

It's hard to look at pics of framing and get a sense of dimension, but here's the guest bedroom from several angles. The first is your entry from the dining room. While it's unlikely you'll arise before me (unless my sleep schedule changes dramatically), you'll have ready access to the coffee pot, or for that matter, a late night stealth raid of the fridge. We moved the door a little to the left in this shot, to accommodate a 7'5" antique sideboard we purchased. Its companion is a dining room draw table that seats 12, half that many in its undrawn state. For those like me who have never heard of a draw table, instead of leaves you have to install when you want to make it bigger, the ends pull out. We found it when our friends, Kevin and Betty Schiller, visited us. Betty is an antique hound like Ellen, so it was natural to stop at an antique shop. When I heard Ellen quietly say, "Bob," from across the room, I knew our visit would be more than a casual browse. I've always said, 'no', or 'we'll think about it' when I've heard that tone of voice before. I have to admit though, when it comes to dining room tables, it was exactly what she's described as her ideal since we've been married. It's hard to just walk away from that. We bought it on the spot, but passed on the matching sideboard because I didn't think it would fit. I was right, but our builder worked out a solution to make the wall longer, so we ended up with that too.
The next shot is your view from the french doors, and finally, your bathroom. Yes, the jelly cupboard will be placed along the right side in this photo. Sigh.
